Pamela Anne, born in 1995, was raised in Victoria, British Columbia and currently lives and works in Toronto, Ontario. She has been drawing and painting since a very young age and considers herself to be a self-taught visual artist. Pamela Anneโs oil paintings are a snapshot of a moment or thought that represent a reflection of her mood. Her portraits convey certain emotions within the faces and emphasis within the eyes. Pamela Anne typically paints herself, those she knows, and those who inspire her. Knowing her subjects, she integrates their hidden stories into the paintings.

Why is art important to you?
Being a psychology major, I understand the importance of mental health. Not only has art always been innate for me, it is also very therapeutic.
How long have you been creating art?
I have been drawing and painting all my life. Even at a young age, I wanted to be an artist; however, I pursued a degree in social sciences rather than visual arts. Since graduating in 2018, I have begun to pursue my career as a painter.
